John Humphries is a special guest of Southern Oregon Antiques & Collectibles Club serving as a verbal appraiser in the Identification Booth held in conjunction with the spring and fall shows.
Mr. Humphries lives in northern California and has been in the antique business for over 40 years. For over 15 years he has done radio shows broadcasting over 30 states. Her identifies and gives price for items that people call in and describe to him over the radio. He works with channel 31 KMAX, Sacramento. They do live segments of his appearances at Antique Malls and Shows for their Good Morning Sacramento Shows. He has written over 50 books on antiques and collectibles thru the years. He has price guides in the field of stamps, Roseville Pottery, Cookie Jars and Flow Blue. He does guest appearances at over 40 Antique and Collectible shows each year in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Nevada and California. |

Debbie Crume Doll and Teddy Bear Expert Debbie is a fine example of a woman who has retained her childhood love of her dolls and teddies. She realizes the trust given to her when a show patron hands over their beloved item for examination. Years of tender, loving care of her own treasures ensures that care will be taken when she studies the prized possessions. She dedicates her expertise to sharing knowledge with the public. |

Barbara Lowe Silver Jewelry Specialist and Collector Fascinated by jewelry since a high school student, she became a serious collector of Mexican and American silver jewelry after attending a Christie Romero workshop in Santa Monica. After collecting for several years the collection was featured in a 1991 display at the Southern Oregon Historical Society in Medford, Oregon. Attendance at many national conferences and participation in workshops has allowed her to continue the pursuit of information. When traveling, Barbara is always tracking down and viewing exhibits in museum and shops, both here and in other countries. This has confirmed to her that jewelry is an incredible subject to study and is a vital part of human expression. |

R. Lawson Phillips Appraiser - Furniture, Silver, Pottery, Glass, 'Anything Old' R. Lawson Phillips began collecting in the late 60's and his fascination of antique furniture led him to open a restoration shop in the mid 70's. He became an 'antique detective' and learned all he could and acquired a working knowledge of all antiques. He is a graduate of "The Ashford Institute of Antiques and Appraisals", and holds a certification of Appraiser. R. Lawson has given seminars on antiques and is currently working on a book which is due out by the end of 2007. He is now located in Southern Oregon at R. Lawson Phillips Appraisals & Consulting Firm. |

Ellen Peterson Glass Appraiser Ellen was the very first SOACC appraiser 26 years ago. Her years of club work, a personal collection of carnival glass and other glassware items and professional experience as purchasing agent for a gift store have combined in a good working knowledge and an appreciation for this field of collecting. |

David Munoz General Antiques and Books David Munoz graduated Summa Cum Laude from the College for Appraisers in Cypress, California as a General Certified Appraiser. He served as a guest appraiser at the Pasadena Rose Bowl. It was a broadening position that exposed him to many collections fields. Bringing his wife Kate and teen-ager Zachary to Grants Pass, the family soon became a part of the city. He is the owner of Dave's Estate Sales, appraises antiques and collectibles, buys and sells antiques and books. By the way, he also finds time to be the new owner of a thriving antique shop, 'Gasoline Alley', located on 6th Street, Grants Pass' main street. By volunteering his time to serve as an appraiser in the Southern Oregon Antique Spring Show, he eagerly awaits meeting all the people visiting the Identification Booth and learning what is being collected and treasured locally. |
